The Challenge

Why This Product Exists

When standard glass breaks, it creates an immediate security breach and safety hazard. Falling glass from height can be lethal, and broken windows leave buildings vulnerable to weather, intrusion, and continued structural damage. In hurricane zones, wind-borne debris through glass openings is the primary cause of catastrophic building failure.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) is the standard interlayer providing safety, UV protection, and acoustic performance. SGP (SentryGlas Plus) is 5x stiffer and 100x more tear-resistant, used for structural glass applications, glass floors, and hurricane-rated glazing where maximum post-breakage strength is required.

Yes. Tempered laminated glass combines the impact strength of tempering with the post-breakage retention of lamination. This is the preferred solution for overhead glazing, glass railings, and high-security applications.

Yes. Standard PVB interlayers block up to 99% of UV radiation, protecting interior furnishings, artwork, and occupants from harmful UV exposure.

Acoustic laminated glass uses a special viscoelastic PVB interlayer that dampens sound vibrations. It can achieve sound reduction ratings of Rw 40-44 dB, significantly outperforming standard laminated glass for noise-sensitive applications.
